FAQ's

How do I order?

Once you have customized your keepsake and placed the order I will send out an email with shipping details for your inclusions. If you are local, feel free to reach out and we can setup a time to do a porch drop-off.

How long does it take to make?

Our current turnaround time would be 6 - 10 weeks which starts from the time we receive your inclusions.

Ring sizing

I would recommend getting your finger sized at a local big box jeweler (Peoples, Charm). You can also buy ring sizers from amazon which are fairly inexpensive. Or, if you live near a Michaels craft store, you can venture into the beading/jewelry section and find ring sizers there, measure and go :).

What are inclusions?

Inclusions are small samples of an item that are enclosed into a gemstone. If you provided breastmilk, your breastmilk would be preserved and suspended in resin to create a unique gemstone.
We can currently create gemstones using breastmilk, preserved placenta, hair/fur (human or animal), and cremation ashes (human or animal).

How to prepare your inclusions and how much do you need?

Breastmilk: 25ml
Please use a bag designed for breastmilk. I suggest the Medela Breast Milk Freezer bags, or a freezer quality zip lock bag, removing most of the air, and label with your name and order date. Place that inside a second freezer bag followed by a third. Please label the outside bag in a similar fashion as the first.

If using bags specifically designed for breastmilk only 1 additional zip lock bag is needed.

Placenta: 1 capsule
Please place the capsule into a freezer quality zip lock bag, removing most of the air, and label with your name and order date.

Hair/Fur: A small bundle is all that is needed, approximately 2 inches long and 5mm wide
Please use scotch, or painters tape and secure a little under half of the length of hair inside the tape. Over 3/4s of the hair should still be free from the tape. Place this inside a freezer quality zip lock bag and label the bag with your name and order date.

Cremation Ashes: Approximately 1 full teaspoon.
Please use a small freezer quality zip lock bag, removing most of the air, and label with your name and order date.

How do I care for my keepsake jewelry?

Keepsake gemstones should be treated similar to pearls. They are safe to occasionally get wet but you should avoid taking them into the shower, or swimming with them on.
Try to avoid contact with the gemstone with harsh chemicals, especially hand sanitizer.
If your gemstone needs to be cleaned you can use warm water with a gentle soap (like Dawn) and a soft bristle toothbrush.
